Let's be honest, now that I am a Mommy, there isn't much Liz or much of that, mostly just about Finleigh!

39 weeks - the final countdown!

Seriously i CANNOT get "it's the final countdowwwwwn" out of my head!! no not the whole song, just that darn line, over and over and over again!

How far along? 39 weeks. I remember when July 6th seemed like an eternity away... and now it is NEXT Saturday!
Fruit/veggie size and development: Baby girl is the size of a watermelon (i know, I did that chalkboard a few weeks ago, oops). She is STILL GROWING in there! She can flex her limbs and her tiny nails could even be as long as her tiny little fingers! Her brain is still developing and while she is getting smarter by the week she will continue to develop it after she is born! (via the bump
Total weight gain: I actually lost a lil weight so a little less than 28 total! Feels weird to lose weight but bring it on!!
Maternity clothes? Yes... I am tired of them! it is about to get wretched hot and I don't love any of them for the heat! Anything above 85* is too hot for me NOT being pregnant and with a forecasted 90* plus the next 4 days, I may melt!
Stretch marks? same, none so far. I know they can still show up after!
Sleep: What is that? I am getting great practice in for what is to come. Sleep has been awful, even trying to take unisom it's just not happenin.
Best moment this week: Finishing up most of my to-do list at work Friday so that truly whenever she decides to make her grand entrance I will feel as ready as I can! I maybe went a little overboard with the nesting/cleaning at work, but oh well :)
Miss Anything? Running. Isn't that weird! My husband has been running a ton and I was almost in tears the other day when he went 5 miles. Walking 40 minutes is about my limit, but I am ready to be able to run again!
Movement: Pretty sure baby girl gave me a bruised rib earlier in the week, but it is getting better and really she is just running out of room! the doctor said she is gaining about a 1/2 lb a week right now... to which I replied "WE GOTTA GET HER OUT!" She just laughed at me.
Food cravings: Strawberries again, iced water, and my lemonade. Not really that hungry much.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope!
Symptoms: Feet swelling every so often still and some days not at all. I feel GREAT otherwise, just excited/impatient to finally meet our baby girl!
Belly Button in or out? Out-ish
Wedding rings on or off? Still on! Only after a walk are they pretty tight.
Labor Signs: Tuesday morning at the doc I was at 2cm and about 50% effaced so she is definitely making progress but not enough! I have been having contractions every day, but they aren't consistant, long enough or close enough yet! I go again Monday morning!
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy and EXCITED!
Looking forward to: Our baby girl arriving! We are SOOOO excited and so ready to meet her! I know my Mom is ready to meet her AND learn her name ;) Also looking forward to revealing the nursery after she is born & her letters are up, etc!

I not-so-secretly hope that my next post is of our beautiful daughter, NOT my 40 week chalkboard update, but we will see...

38 weeks!

How far along? 38 weeks! Technically only THIRTEEN days from this post ahhhh!!
Fruit/veggie size and development: Baby girl is the size of a pumpkin. She is "likely" 19 to 21ish inches long and weighs anywhere from 6 to 9 lbs (HOWEVER at our appointment on Monday the doc said she thinks about 6.5lbs at that point). She could have even an inch of hair and she is slow getting rid of her "white goo" or vernix caseosa! (via the bump
Total weight gain: 28.3 lbs official according to the doctor. I feel like their scale lies, but they don't.
Maternity clothes? Ugh yes but i would prefer sweats 24/7.
Stretch marks? same still... haven't seen them so far...
Sleep: The hip pain is still waking me up as are the bathroom breaks, but good practice I suppose for some upcoming sleepless nights months ;)
Best moment this week: Seeing our baby girl on the ultrasound Monday and hearing that everything is looking great as we get closer and closer. She was head down then which is good too!!
Miss Anything? Still really the only thing I miss is being able to move around with ease, bending over is just not happenin. I am trying to be patient but i suck at it.
Movement: I haven't noticed the slow down yet, definitely not major "kicks" but just lots and lots and lots of twisting, making for some uncomfy positions for me :)
Food cravings: Fruit and water! And Simply Lemonade Raspberry Lemonade, especially in a mason jar. It is SO good!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope!
Symptoms: Friday morning I had QUITE the lower leg and foot swelling situation. It was so drastic I even called the advice nurse, but they just said to keep them elevated since I don't have any other preeclampsia symptoms at this point. As if I can keep them above my heart at work!
Belly Button in or out? Out-ish
Wedding rings on or off? same, on! they get pretty tight after a walk but otherwise fit just fine.
Labor Signs: Braxton Hicks and then some real contractions here and there but nothing to track yet! My app is ready. We see the doctor again Tuesday morning.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy and READY for her!!! Perhaps a little impatient!
Looking forward to: Baby girl's arrival! It seems like we are just SO close and I am ready!!

37 weeks! FULL term!

How far along? 37 weeks! Baby girl is FULL TERM!
Fruit/veggie size and development: Baby girl is the size of a winter melon. She is full term and is "likely" 19 to 21ish inches long and weighs anywhere from 6 to 9 lbs. The craziest thing is at this point she is probably gaining a half an ounce PER day! (via the bump
Total weight gain: Blah blah blah, over 26lbs.
Maternity clothes? Yesssss. I am just thankful they all still fit!
Stretch marks? same still... haven't seen them so far...
Sleep: Not great, made better by unisom on the nights I take it!
Best moment this week: Many of them! Last weekend in general, relaxing at the beach with the hubs, had the best massage of my life down there. Then baby girl being spoiled at work this week! AND then being off for a very long weekend to get everyone done!
Miss Anything? Just feeling normal, I am just ready for her to come!
Movement: Yes yes yes! she really looooves to get her bum and heels all up in my ribs!
Food cravings: Really just iced water (SO MUCH WATER) and my apple cinnamon Cheerios in the morning! Nothing else I am "craving" really.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope!
Symptoms: Still the hip pain in the night and my feel are swelling at night okay sometimes by late morning. I know it could be SO much worse so I tryyyyy not to complain to anyone other than Kevin.
Belly Button in or out? still "half out" and looks weird!
Wedding rings on or off? same, on!
Labor Signs: braxton hicks and a real contraction or 2 but nothing to track yet! I start seeing my Dr weekly Monday morning!
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! EXCITED would be a better way to describe it!
Looking forward to: Her arrival!!! I know I have 3 weeks, but I would be verrrry okay with just a week or two! This week we completed our registry (see massive shopping cart pic below), upgraded my "mom car" and are now spending time the rest of the weekend working on: packing diaper bags, packing hospital bags and installing the car seat to be as ready as we can!
(i post WAY more pics on my instagram - lizziem19, much easier than camera/blog)

36 weeks!

How far along? 36 weeks!
Fruit/veggie size and development: Okay so the bump says honeydew, but I wanted to do a watermelon chalkboard so I went with the "What to Expect" app for fruit size because they say watermelon, cheating I know :) However, via the bump she is STILL on average over 17 inches and weighs anywhere from 4.2-5.8 lbs! (I vote more like 6lbs plus!) Her liver and kidneys are in working order and her circulation and immune systems are basically good to go, too.
Total weight gain: 25lbs plus ish. I want to stop checking.
Maternity clothes? Yes. I am starting to get over them! If I see one more cute maxi dress on the @targetdoesitagain instagram that I can't fit in yet I may lose it!
Stretch marks? same still... haven't seen them... yet!
Sleep: Boo. That is all.
Best moment this week: Getting home LATE Thursday (after graduation was a SUCCESS, whew!!) to a sweet card from my hubby telling me we were headed to the beach for the weekend! Amazing surprise!
Note: That would be why in my picture I am trying VERY hard to look awake because I did my chalkboard suuuuper late Thursday night and this was Friday before work... before Starbucks. Enough said.
Miss Anything? Moving around normal. Oh AND my old toes. They are starting to look a little pretty darn swollen by the end of the day. Friday night after the 2.5 hour car ride to the beach they were just scary!
Movement: I blame the midwife I saw (not my normal OB) when I got checked because she said that she could "un-drop" and I am pretty sure she has and has found herself in some ridiculous positions ever since! I feel like she moves constantly! I go in the 17th for my 37 week ultrasound so we will see how she is then...
Food cravings: same things - ruby red squirt, iced water (SO MUCH WATER), and my apple cinnamon Cheerios in the morning!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope!
Symptoms: Crazy awful hip pain in the night while I sleep. I feel like when I get up I can hardly walk. Luckily it gets better as the morning goes on.
Belly Button in or out? It looks half out to me. Very weird!
Wedding rings on or off? same, on!
Labor Signs: Still none, more braxton hicks or possibly a real contraction or 2 but nothing crazy.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: Being full term next Saturday!! I can't believe we are about to that point. Seems surreal!

35 weeks!

How far along? 35 weeks!
Fruit/veggie size and development: Baby girl is as big as a coconut (yum!) hence the chalkboard theme and still on average is over 17 inches and weighs anywhere from 4.2-5.8 lbs! (she feels massive!) Her hearing is also fully developed! (via the bump)
Total weight gain: 24.3lbs...... doesn't it start to stop going up?! please?!
Maternity clothes? Yessss of course! But I am ready for regular maxi dresses and summer clothes!
Stretch marks? same still... haven't seen them and am doing the 2x daily cocoa butter + Bio Oil!
Sleep: Not great! Finally went back to taking unisom every few nights (thanks to Sadie for reminding me of its magic) and it has been amazing!
Best moment this week: Spending Thursday & Friday with 2 different sets of couple friends, who each have a little one. We are so blessed to have amazing friends and even more blessed they are parents to give advice :)
Miss Anything? Ease in shaving my legs? Fitting behind the wheel better? Not making a spectacle bending over for something?
Movement: I can feel her much much lower but she is still rockin and rollin in there all the time! I can't really tell on the outside she dropped but I can FEEL it for sure.
Food cravings: Once she dropped I kind of got my appetite back! No crazy cravings but I still am eating those apple cinnamon Cheerios within about 5 minutes of getting out of my bed and also Ruby Red Squirt and Iced Water have been my daily drinks!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope!
Symptoms: She dropped last weekend (ouch) so no more heartburn thankfully, but feeling the pressure of her being lower! Kevin has been amazing rubbing my back at night when I notice I get sore.
Belly Button in or out? Getting EVEN closer to out!
Wedding rings on or off? Still very on!
Labor Signs: None thankfully! My doc had me come in for a check since she dropped "so early" but no signs that she is progressing yet! In 2 weeks I will not be saying "thankfully" - I will be ready!!
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: Graduation being OVER at school this Thursday! That will be a huge stressor gone. And REALLY looking forward to fully completing the nursery, I am so excited for the final project! Finished the felt balls and the painted canvases, now they just need to go us!
